Pima Community Access Program (PCAP) offers an affordable health insurance option for individuals and employers. Pima County residents who can't afford health insurance or work where health benefits are not offered may be eligible if they earn too much to qualify for Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS). Under the income guidelines, a family of four can earn up to $51,625 a year.
A PCAP representative will be at Wingspan on Mondays from 11:00pm to 2:00pm to answer any questions for anyone needing access to healthcare. Or interested residents can learn more by calling 520-694-0418.
How it works
PCAP links uninsured Pima County residents with an affordable and comprehensive network of healthcare providers. PCAP is not a health insurance plan but a highly discounted pay-as-you-go medical program with no monthly premium and only a $40.00 enrollment fee per year.
Individuals and families will be screened through a web-based application process called Health-e-Arizona to determine if they qualify for any other state health programs prior to enrolling in PCAP.
