We currently have about 250 volunteers, including the board of directors, resource volunteers and committee members. Wingspan is always in need of new, creative ideas and energetic help to maintain and improve all of our services and programs.
Wingspan is especially interested in volunteers who are able to make a commitment to work for a minimum of one year. All Wingspan volunteers are required to undergo a two-hour general Wingspan Volunteer Orientation. Additional training requirement depends on the volunteer position, as described below.
The following volunteer positions are for incoming volunteers. As a volunteer learns more about the center, other volunteer opportunities may arise, such as serving on the Board of Directors, or working as one of the Program Coordinators. Please note, completion of training does not guarantee placement as a volunteer.
