The Southern Arizona Gender Alliance (SAGA) envisions a society in which transgender and transsexual people are ensured of their basic rights and can be open, honest, and safe at home, at work, and in the community. To achieve this goal, SAGA organizes educational, social, and advocacy programs for gender-diverse people and their significant others, friends, families, and allies.
SAGA offers support, social, and discussion groups that reflect the various aspects of gender and society. We also provide speakers, educational forums, and trainings for businesses, service providers, and the public to learn more about the issues facing transgender people and how our allies can be supportive and inclusive.

One person's transition is a transition for everyone. As the partner, spouse, or close friend of a transgender or transsexual person, you may feel betrayed, angry, confused - or delighted - by the all-consuming nature of transition and the complexities of life, love, and intimacy that accompany the journey. For many of us, this is uncharted territory, and the sometimes desperate attempts to make sense of the "whys" can be overwhelming. Join this group to gain a better understanding of the ways gender diversity can impact a relationship. Share your feelings, concerns, and experiences. You do not need to be currently partnered with someone to attend this group, nor do couples need to be of a trans/non-trans pairing. Meetings are confidential.
Third Sundays, 2:00-4:00pm

Have you ever felt you or someone you know didn't meet society's expectations for being a woman or a man or both? Have you ever thought maybe we should change those expectations, or do away with them? Have you ever been made to feel like a gender outlaw? Have you ever been proud to be (or secretly wanted to be) a gender outlaw? Now's your chance! Come discuss the wild world of gender in all its variations in a supportive environment. Everyone is welcome, no matter where you are -- or want to be -- on the gender spectrum (or any other spectrum, for that matter)!
Third Mondays, 6:30-8:30pm
